Hangzhou and the West Lake
Hangzhou is in Zhejiang Province, Southeast China. It is one of the most beautiful cities in China, and a lot of cultural relics here are kept well for the people of China and visitors from all over the world to enjoy. The sights here are very beautiful. If you come to visit the city, I am sure you will never forget the city and you will be impressed by a great diversity of beautiful flowers and trees here.
Many people come to Hangzhou to visit the spectacular cultural relics. Others come to study its history, go sightseeing, walk in the city or go shopping. However, the attraction that arouses the greatest appreciation in the city is the West Lake.
The West Lake is a beautiful lake. In summer, the water is crystal clear. When you arrive, you will be rewarded with not only the sight of its clear water, but also the views of other tourist attractions that surround the West Lake, such as Lei Feng Pagoda, Spring Dawn at Su Causeway and so on.
There are many stories told about the West Lake. The most well-known concerns Bai Juyi, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty. He once visited the West Lake and wrote many poems to sing high praise for the beautiful views, and the White Causeway was built in memory of this great poet.
