With the development of society, television is now playing an important role in society and our daily life. However, each coin has two sides, so there is no denying that television also has both positive and negative parts.
For one thing, it plays a positive role. TV programs are a source of recreation, so watching TV is a good way for us to spend our spare time. Besides, the TV programs provide us with much information, such as animal’s life, international news, and so on, which can help us broaden our views and keep pace with modern life.
For another, television also plays a negative role. Firstly, watching TV too much will do harm to children’s eyesight. Secondly, some students are addicted to a certain kind of TV programs and sometimes stay up late watching TV, as a result, they can’t listen attentively in their regular classes. What’s worse, staying indoors watching TV too much means there is less time for people to take exercise outdoors, which has a bad effect on their health.
In a word, television is necessary for our life, but we’d better watch TV with restrictions and in a proper time. Only in this way can we make good use of it.
